The Abia State Police Command has intensified security around schools, worship centres and other critical infrastructure, following the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, and in line with the marching orders issued by the Inspector General of Police.
As part of the enforcement measures, the Command has introduced Routine Registers in schools to enhance monitoring and ensure accountability among officers deployed to such locations.
Continuing its statewide security sensitization efforts, CP Danladi Isa on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, convened a strategic security meeting with traditional rulers, community leaders, chief security officers of companies, tertiary institutions, school administrators and market leaders.

Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner of Police said such engagements would be held regularly to assess security situations across communities. He stressed the need for continuous collaboration, reminding stakeholders that they remain essential partners in crime prevention. He urged them to provide prompt and accurate information to the Police and maintain close contact with their Divisional Police Officers and Area Commanders.
The CP also encouraged communities to strengthen their local security watch systems and warned against shielding criminal elements. He advised those aiding offenders to desist immediately and support efforts to secure their environment.
Reassuring residents, CP Isa disclosed that both overt and covert operations have been intensified and that the public should expect increased police visibility throughout the festive period. These measures, he said, are aimed at sustaining safety and protecting lives and property across the state.

Stakeholders at the meeting commended the Commissioner for his proactive approach and affirmed their commitment to supporting the Command’s vision of a safer and more secure Abia State.
