In a bold step towards modernization and transparency, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic has introduced an online student clearance system as part of a broader reform agenda championed by the institution’s management under the leadership of Dr. Christopher Okoro.

This innovative platform aims to eliminate the cumbersome and stressful manual clearance process previously endured by graduating students. With the new system, students can now complete their clearance from any location, track progress, and receive real-time feedback from the school authorities all without setting foot on campus.
Speaking to reporters after a management meeting on Monday, Dr. Okoro emphasized that this digital transition is just one aspect of the institution’s efforts to restore academic integrity. He issued a firm warning against academic fraud, stating that extortion by lecturers and the exchange of money for grades will no longer be tolerated. Any student caught engaging in exam malpractice will face strict disciplinary and legal action.
“The goal, is to ensure our graduates can confidently defend their certificates in any part of the world, thereby protecting the academic reputation of the polytechnic.”Dr. Okoro explained
In addition, he revealed that a comprehensive review of the academic curriculum is underway to ensure each course delivers relevant, practical knowledge. He also noted that construction at the new campus is progressing steadily, with perimeter fencing nearing completion.

These reforms reflect the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, student welfare, and institutional integrity in a rapidly evolving educational landscape.
