Former president Olusegun Obasanjo Visits Aba to Celebrate Geometric Power Milestone
Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has arrived in Aba, Abia State, on a one-day visit to the Geometric Power Plant, a project he has been pivotal in supporting since inception.
Obasanjo played a key role in laying the foundation for the Aba Integrated Power Project (IPP), which has grown into Nigeria’s first fully integrated and independently operated power utility.
Speaking on the significance of the visit, Geometric Power CEO, Prof. Bart Nnaji, described it as “both an honour and a celebration of shared progress.”
The former president was recived at Sam mbakwe airport Owerri is headed to Geometric Power’s corporate headquarters in Osisioma, Aba, and is scheduled to commission a new distribution substation located in Ogbor Hill.
