Pictures and reports have emerged from the Super Eagles’ final training session held yesterday evening at the Institut Royal de Formation des Cadres in Salé, just outside Rabat, Morocco as the team prepared for today’s crucial World Cup Qualifiers playoff encounter against Gabon.

Originally, both Nigeria and Gabon were scheduled to train inside the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium, the official match venue. however, for reasons yet to be disclosed, neither side held their session there.
In addition, no official pre-match press conference was conducted for either team, an unusual development at this stage of the qualifiers.

Despite these adjustments, the Super Eagles maintained a composed and focused atmosphere during their workout.
Training was handled with strategic caution, with the technical crew emphasizing tactical sharpness and teamwork. Head coach Eric Chelle and his coaching crew led the players through a series of passing and positional drills, shape organization, and match scenario exercises.

During tactical sessions, the team practiced in a 4-4-2 diamond formation, with Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams paired up front.
The coach also experimented with a lone striker setup, positioning Osimhen as the single forward in a 4-2-3-1 variation, allowing the midfielders to test fluid attacking transitions.

All 24 players reportedly gave their full effort, showing hunger and unity ahead of today’s decisive encounter. The squad is fully aware that a win tonight will see Nigeria advance to the next round of the World Cup playoff series.
