The David of Abia, Hon. Ceekay Igara, has extended warm wishes to the people of Abia State as they step into the month of July, urging residents to embrace hope, faith and unity in anticipation of a brighter future for the state.
In his New Month message titled, “The Dawn of a New Season: A Message of Hope for Abia,” Igara expressed confidence that Abia is entering a new season marked by greater opportunities, renewed purpose and divine favour.
“As we step into this new month, my heart is full of quiet, unshakable confidence in the future that lies ahead for us,” he said, adding that there is “a gentle, steady breeze of hope that whispers of better days, greater opportunities, and a renewed sense of purpose for our beloved state.”
He encouraged the people to place their hope in God, noting that true hope anchored in the Almighty goes beyond mere wishes and becomes a certainty.
“We are entering a season where our focus is shifting upward, toward the One who holds the destiny of nations in His hands. Hope, when anchored in the Almighty, is not just a wish; it is a certainty,” he stated.
The philanthropist and community leader further stressed the importance of godly leadership, compassion and collective responsibility in building a prosperous society.
“There is a beautiful, eternal truth: when leadership is guided by the fear of God and a heart of compassion, the result is the flourishing of the people,” he added.
Igara urged Abians to carry the light of hope into their communities by promoting kindness, unity and love for one another.
“This month, let us carry the light of hope into every corner of our communities. Let us be the ones who bridge divides with kindness, build up our neighbours, and demonstrate the strength of a people united by faith,” he said.
He expressed optimism that Abia’s immense potential would translate into peace, progress and shared prosperity, while praying for divine wisdom, favour and abundant testimonies for every family in the state.
He concluded by wishing all residents a happy new month and reaffirming his commitment to the collective vision of a renewed and prosperous Abia.
