The All Progressives Congress senatorial candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, Hon. Emeka Atuma, has commended the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Engr. Jennifer Adighije, for her commitment to grassroots development.
Atuma, who spoke through the Director-General of the Emeka Atuma for Senate Campaign Council, Hon. Chidi Nwosu, described Adighije as an asset to the APC and praised her contributions to the development of Olokoro Clan in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.
According to him, Olokoro has witnessed notable community interventions through projects executed by Adighije in collaboration with her father, Senator Chris Adighije.
Among the projects commissioned were the renovation of classroom blocks at Boys Secondary School, Olokoro, and the construction of a 3D concrete floor at the Olokoro Civic Hall.
Atuma said the projects demonstrated the importance of interventions that directly address the needs of communities and improve the quality of shared public infrastructure.
Speaking at the event, Adighije expressed appreciation to the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in her through her appointment as NDPHC Managing Director and CEO.
She said her position at the national level had provided an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of her community.
Adighije pledged to do more for Olokoro and urged residents to continue supporting President Tinubu, Atuma and other APC candidates.
She emphasised the need for public office holders to translate their responsibilities into tangible benefits for the communities from which they emerged.
The event was attended by the APC candidate for Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon. Chijioke Onyeulo, popularly known as CeeJay Rambo; members of the Council of Ndi Eze Olokoro; the President-General of Olokoro; and other community stakeholders.
The gathering combined community development activities with political engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
