The APC senatorial candidate for Abia Central promises federal jobs, infrastructure and improved welfare during ward-to-ward campaign tour.
The campaign train of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, Hon. Emeka Atuma, has berthed at Okporo Ahaba Ward 10 in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, where residents turned out in large numbers to welcome the candidate and his entourage.
The visit, which formed part of Atuma’s ward-to-ward campaign tour, attracted an enthusiastic crowd that had gathered at the community’s civic hall ahead of the arrival of the APC delegation.
The reception was marked by excitement among party faithful and supporters, with the campaign team describing the turnout as an encouraging sign of the party’s growing acceptance in the area.
Atuma, popularly known as Kabila, was accompanied by the APC candidate for the House of Representatives and the party’s candidate for the Abia State House of Assembly from the constituency.
Members of the Kabila Campaign Council and other APC leaders in Isiala Ngwa South were also present during the visit.
The campaign engagement provided an opportunity for Atuma to interact with residents and assess some of the challenges confronting communities in the area.
During the visit, the senatorial candidate observed the deplorable condition of some roads in Isiala Ngwa South, which residents say has made transportation difficult, particularly for farmers seeking to convey their agricultural produce to markets.
The poor state of the roads has continued to pose challenges to rural economic activities, increasing the difficulty of moving farm produce and limiting access to markets.
Addressing the gathering, Atuma urged the people to support the APC at the polls, arguing that the party offered an opportunity to attract federal government interventions to the constituency.
He promised to prioritise employment opportunities for young people, attract federal projects to the area and promote initiatives aimed at improving the overall welfare of residents.
The candidate also called on the electorate to rally behind the APC candidates across the different levels of government, stressing the importance of political support in advancing the development interests of the constituency.
The ward-to-ward tour is part of the party’s grassroots mobilisation strategy to engage voters, strengthen its structures and communicate its campaign promises ahead of the elections.
