2027: Atuma Takes APC Campaign to Three Osisioma Wards, Vows to Attract Projects to Abia Central

The All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Abia Central, Hon. Emeka Atuma, has continued his ward-to-ward campaign in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area, promising to attract federal projects and improve infrastructure if elected in 2027.

Atuma made the pledge on Thursday, October 15, during visits to Amavor Ward 1, Amasa Ward 5 and Arongwa Ward 4, where he met party supporters, community leaders, women’s groups and other stakeholders.

He was accompanied by the APC candidates for Osisioma Ngwa North and South state constituencies, Hon. Iheyinna Mgbeahuru and Hon. Barr. Ogunka Iheanacho, respectively.

At the campaign stops, the candidates received blessings from traditional rulers and community leaders before presenting their political ambitions and development plans to residents.

Addressing supporters, Atuma called for their support in the 2027 elections, promising to attract federal projects and other development opportunities to Abia Central.

He also urged voters to support APC candidates across the different levels of government, including President Bola Tinubu, House of Representatives candidate Hon. Prince Udo Alozie, the two Osisioma Ngwa Assembly candidates and the party’s governorship candidate, Eric Opah.

According to Atuma, electing candidates from the same political party at the federal and state levels could strengthen cooperation and facilitate the delivery of development projects.

“Abia Central has suffered, and there is a need to change the narrative. You are the ones to do that,” Atuma told supporters at Amasa Ward 5.

He cited roads, schools, hospitals and employment as key areas of development, urging residents to support the APC’s candidates to access what he described as the dividends of good governance.

At Arongwa Ward 4, the senatorial hopeful reiterated his appeal for support, stressing that cooperation among elected representatives across the different levels of government would help advance development in the constituency.

Earlier, Mgbeahuru thanked residents of Amavor Ward 1 for their reception and called on them to support APC candidates, promising effective representation if elected.

Similarly, Iheanacho expressed confidence in the party’s prospects in the 2027 elections and urged voters to support its candidates at all levels.

The Director-General of the Atuma Campaign Council in Osisioma Ngwa, Hon. Chucks Oriaku, also appealed to residents to support Atuma, describing him as a candidate capable of providing effective representation for Abia Central.

Community Stakeholders Present Gifts to Atuma

The Amavor Ward 1 visit featured a presentation of traditional farm produce to Atuma by women from the community, reflecting the area’s agricultural heritage.

The presentation, which included plantain and vegetable leaves, was made by the Osisioma Ngwa APC Woman Leader, Hon. Mrs. Mary Chimezie. It was received on Atuma’s behalf by the Director of Women Affairs of his campaign council, Chief Mrs. Nneoma Nwaigwe.

At Amasa Ward 5, community stakeholders presented the senatorial candidate with a Bible and a George wrapper. Residents also highlighted the poor condition of their roads and other development challenges facing the community.

The campaign team subsequently visited a community leader in Amator before proceeding to Okpuala Council Hall in Arongwa Ward 4, where supporters waited to receive the candidates despite the late hour.

The campaign tour forms part of Atuma’s ongoing ward-to-ward engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Other stakeholders and campaign officials who participated in the tour included Hon. Chidi Nwosu, Director-General of the Atuma Campaign Council; Chief Mark S. Ekwuzie, campaign council secretary; Hon. Enyinnaya Ubani; Hon. Amarachukwu Nwafor; Osisioma Ngwa APC Chairman, Hon. Kolean Nnabugwu; Hon. Mrs. Ugochi Isiguzo; Comrade Anubiri Chinonso Davis, Director of Media and Publicity; and Hon. Achor Uhuaba, Osisioma Ngwa APC youth leader.
