Popular Nigerian content creator Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, known as Peller, has said his proposed livestream with former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi should not be interpreted as an endorsement of any presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general election.

Peller disclosed this during a TikTok livestream, explaining that Obi had reached out to him to arrange an online session on his platform.

The content creator said he was not campaigning for Obi or asking his followers to vote for him, stressing that his intention was simply to host the politician.

“Peter Obi reached out to me that he wants to do a livestream with me. Before you people get the wrong idea, I am not promoting any presidential candidate, and I am not asking you to vote for Peter Obi. I just want to stream with him on my platform,” Peller said.

His comments come as political figures increasingly explore social media platforms to engage audiences ahead of the 2027 elections.

Peller, who has built a significant following through his online content, offers a platform through which political discussions can reach audiences who consume much of their information through digital channels.

Obi, a former presidential candidate, has also participated in livestream sessions hosted by social media personalities as politicians seek additional avenues to communicate with the public.

However, Peller maintained that the proposed interaction should be separated from political campaigning, reiterating that hosting Obi would not amount to an endorsement.

As of the time of the report, no date had been announced for the proposed livestream.
