The All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia State Chapter, has congratulated its candidates who emerged victorious in the governorship and National Assembly primaries conducted by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), describing their emergence as a reflection of confidence in their leadership capacity and commitment to service.
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, the APC said the successful candidates had secured the party’s tickets to fly its flag in the 2027 General Elections.
The party stated that the emergence of the candidates demonstrated their dedication to the ideals and vision of the APC and expressed confidence that, through unity and collective effort, the party would secure victories at the polls and take over governance at all levels in Abia State.
The APC also commended its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the National Working Committee for conducting what it described as a transparent, credible and fair primary election that provided equal opportunities for all aspirants.
The party appealed to aspirants who were unsuccessful in the primaries to remain steadfast and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship by supporting the party’s candidates.
“There are no losers in the APC family. The greater task before us is to work together in unity, solidarity and determination to deliver victory for our great party at all levels as we prepare to take over governance in Abia State,” the statement read.
The party further appreciated its supporters and loyal members across the state for their continued faith, sacrifices and unwavering support, expressing optimism that the APC would emerge stronger and more united ahead of the 2027 polls.
The APC’s governorship candidate is Dr. Eric Opah.
The party’s senatorial candidates are Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Hon. Emeka Atuma and Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu.
Its House of Representatives candidates are Hon. Chris Nkwonta, Rt. Hon. Uzo Azubuike, Chief Udo Alozie, Chief Uzo Ihuka, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Rt. Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha and Mr. Ikenna Ukwa.
The party wished all its candidates successful and impactful campaigns as preparations intensify for the 2027 General Elections.
