President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed Nigeria’s solidarity with Gulf nations affected by the ongoing conflict involving Iran, while calling for peace, stability, and international cooperation. Tinubu stated this at the State House in Abuja while receiving Letters of Credence from seven ambassadors and two high commissioners, including envoys from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
According to the president, Nigeria stands with countries including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan in the face of recent attacks linked to the regional crisis.
He commended the affected nations for what he described as their resilience and restraint, adding that Nigeria would continue to support efforts aimed at restoring peace and ensuring global stability.
“The world needs tranquillity, peace and love,” Tinubu said, stressing the need for diplomacy and collective responsibility among nations.
The president also noted that Nigeria’s foreign policy remains focused on constructive global engagement and mutually beneficial partnerships, especially at a time of growing international uncertainty.
Tinubu’s remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where recent military exchanges have raised fears of wider instability across the Gulf region and beyond.
