FIFA 2026

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Rema has joined forces with global music stars LISA and Anitta on “Goals,” one of the official songs released for the FIFA World Cup 2026 music project.

The high-profile collaboration officially dropped on May 21 as part of the ongoing rollout for the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album. Produced by Grammy-winning producer Cirkut and Tropkillaz, the track blends Afrobeats, K-pop, and Latin pop influences into a globally driven football anthem.

According to FIFA, the album is designed to celebrate cultural diversity through music while building excitement ahead of the 2026 World Cup tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The trio also released an accompanying music video featuring football-inspired visuals, energetic choreography, and stadium-style cinematic production.

Speaking about the collaboration, Rema described the song as a landmark cultural moment.

“Three continents, one track,” the singer said while reflecting on the global collaboration.

LISA, known globally as a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, said music continues to unite people around the world and described the collaboration as an honour. Meanwhile, Anitta revealed that her connection to the FIFA World Cup is deeply personal because of Brazil’s football heritage.

“Goals” joins a growing list of songs attached to the FIFA World Cup 2026 soundtrack, including tracks from artists such as Daddy Yankee, Shenseea, Shakira, and Burna Boy.

The collaboration has already generated massive reactions online, with fans praising the cross-cultural fusion of sounds and the global representation brought together by the three artists. However, early teaser reactions on social media also sparked debate, with some fans comparing the song to previous iconic FIFA World Cup anthems.

The artists are expected to perform “Goals” live during the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony scheduled for June 12 in Los Angeles.

For decades, FIFA World Cup songs have played a major role in global football culture, with classics like Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) becoming worldwide hits and cultural moments beyond the sport itself.
