The Action Peoples Party (APP) has declared that it is fully prepared to participate in the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the party possesses the structure, leadership and grassroots support required to compete successfully across the country.
The Chairman of the party in Imo State, LMO Njesi, stated that the APP has continued to strengthen its internal structures and expand its presence in preparation for the next electoral cycle.
According to him, the party remains committed to offering Nigerians a credible political alternative built on transparency, accountability and people-oriented governance.
Njesi said the APP has been engaging with communities, recruiting new members and consolidating its support base across wards and local government areas, insisting that the groundwork for the 2027 elections is already well underway.
He maintained that the party is not intimidated by the dominance of larger political parties, arguing that Nigerians are increasingly looking for leaders capable of addressing the country’s economic and security challenges.
The APP chairman also stressed the importance of issue-based campaigns, urging political parties to focus on presenting practical solutions to unemployment, insecurity, inflation and infrastructure deficits instead of resorting to divisive politics.
He called on members of the party to remain united and committed to strengthening the organisation ahead of the elections, noting that internal cohesion would be critical to achieving electoral success.
Njesi further appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to continue ensuring a level playing field for all registered political parties, emphasizing that credible elections remain essential to strengthening Nigeria’s democracy.
He expressed optimism that the APP would field candidates for various elective positions in 2027 and urged Nigerians to support leaders with the vision and capacity to deliver meaningful development.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to democratic principles, peaceful political engagement and policies aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians, stating that it remains focused on building a stronger political platform capable of making a significant impact in the 2027 general elections.
