The Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA), Aba Zone, headed by Elder Okezie Ezengwa, has issued an important message to residents and business owners across the state regarding proper waste management practices.
To promote a cleaner and healthier environment, ASEPA has made its official waste disposal buckets available for purchase at the price of ₦6,500 each. According to state law, every resident and business owner in Abia State is required to purchase and use the official ASEPA bucket for waste collection.
The agency has announced that its monitoring team will soon begin a compliance drive, during which offenders who fail to adhere to the regulation will be arrested and prosecuted.
Residents are also advised to be vigilant and avoid buying counterfeit buckets from fraudsters. Genuine ASEPA buckets are sold exclusively through ASEPA-branded tricycles, buses, or directly at the ASEPA Aba Office located at No. 9 Ikot-Ekpene Road, opposite Aba Power Office, Aba.

Elder Okezie Ezengwa emphasized that compliance with this directive is not just a legal requirement but a collective responsibility to ensure a cleaner Aba and a healthier Abia State.
