Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reportedly resigned from his position.

Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State, is said to have stepped down citing health-related reasons, stating that he needs to prioritize his personal well-being.

According to a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, the resignation takes immediate effect.

Ahmad wrote: “The National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has resigned from his position, effective immediately, as confirmed by multiple sources.”

Ganduje’s time as APC chairman was not without controversy, with his leadership drawing criticism and stirring internal party debates.
