As part of preparations for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Enyimba Football Club of Aba will benefit from a fresh wave of renovations at its home ground, courtesy of the Abia State Government.
The upgrade initiative underscores the government's renewed commitment to sports development and support for local football clubs across the state.
A recent inspection of the Enyimba International Stadium revealed visible progress, with major work on seating, roofing, and repainting already underway. Notably, a new 500kVA power plant has also been installed to boost stadium operations, with additional upgrades expected to follow.
The ongoing facelift comes as Enyimba FC under the leadership of club chairman and football legend Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo sets its sights on a successful campaign in the upcoming NPFL season.
The club's management has expressed confidence that the improved facilities will not only enhance player performance and fan experience but also reinforce Enyimba’s legacy as one of Nigeria’s most successful football teams.
