Veteran Nollywood actress Omotunde Ogundimu has revealed that she is battling cervical cancer and has appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to enable her continue her treatment.
The actress disclosed that she was diagnosed with the disease in 2024 and has been undergoing medical care since then. According to her, the cost of treatment has become overwhelming, prompting her to seek support from the public.
Ogundimu explained that doctors have recommended further treatment to improve her chances of recovery but said she is unable to meet the financial demands on her own.
She appealed to well-meaning Nigerians, colleagues in the entertainment industry, corporate organisations and philanthropists to assist her financially, expressing hope that timely intervention would enable her to receive the medical care she urgently needs.
The actress also thanked those who have stood by her during her health challenges and appealed for prayers, saying she remains hopeful of overcoming the illness and returning to active life and her acting career.
Her appeal has since generated sympathy among fans and members of the entertainment industry, with many calling for support to help her access the treatment required for her recovery.
