Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has added another landmark to his growing Galatasaray legacy after becoming the third-highest scoring foreign player in the Turkish club’s history.

The Nigerian striker reached the milestone after producing a two-goal performance in Galatasaray’s 4-0 victory over Erzurumspor on Friday.

Osimhen’s brace took his goal tally for the Istanbul giants to 63 goals, moving him above former Galatasaray striker Milan Baros on the club’s all-time foreign goalscorers’ chart.

The achievement further highlights the remarkable impact Osimhen has made since arriving at Galatasaray, where his goalscoring exploits have quickly established him among the club’s most productive foreign players.

The 27-year-old has continued to demonstrate his importance to the Turkish champions, combining his pace, physical strength and clinical finishing to consistently trouble opposing defences.

His latest goals also underline the remarkable consistency he has maintained since making the move to Turkey, with the Nigerian repeatedly finding the net in crucial domestic and continental fixtures.

Osimhen now has only two players ahead of him on Galatasaray’s foreign goalscorers’ list, Argentine forward Mauro Icardi and legendary Romanian midfielder Gheorghe Hagi.

With his current scoring rate, the Nigerian remains within striking distance of the leading names on the list and could further climb the ranking as the season progresses.

His latest feat adds another chapter to what has already become an impressive individual story in Istanbul.

Beyond the goals, Osimhen’s performances have made him one of the most influential figures in Galatasaray’s attack and a major contributor to the club’s ambitions on both domestic and European fronts.

The latest milestone is also another reminder of the Nigerian’s growing reputation as one of Africa’s most prolific forwards and one of the most dangerous strikers operating in European football.

For Galatasaray supporters, Osimhen’s rapid rise up the club’s scoring charts represents more than just another statistic, it is evidence of a striker who is steadily writing his name into the history of one of Turkey’s biggest football institutions.
