Atletico Madrid winger Ademola Lookman has declared himself fit and ready for the club’s UEFA Champions League semi-final first-leg clash against Arsenal.
The Nigerian international had missed Atletico’s last two matches due to an adductor injury but has now recovered in time for the high-profile encounter at the Metropolitano Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, Lookman said he was feeling much better after the brief setback and was eager to return to action for one of the biggest fixtures of the season.
He also reflected on his connection with Arsenal, noting that the first time he played against the London club was during his youth days with Charlton Athletic, making the upcoming tie especially meaningful.

Lookman emphasized the importance of home support, saying Atletico fans always provide the team with extra energy and create a unique atmosphere during major European nights.
The former African Player of the Year has become an important figure for Diego Simeone’s side since joining Atletico Madrid earlier this year, contributing goals and strong attacking displays.
He also praised manager Diego Simeone for helping improve his all-round game, particularly in defensive discipline, while adding that he still wants to develop further.
Lookman’s availability is seen as a major boost for Atletico as they aim to take an advantage into the second leg against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side.
