CAF has named match officials from Uganda and Burundi respectively for Saturday’s clash between Senegal and Falconets of Nigeria, which represents the first leg of the penultimate FIFA U-20 Women World Cup qualifying round.
The aggregate winner will advance to face the victor of the Guinea-Bissau vs. Malawi fixture for a spot at the 2026 U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
Uganda’s Diana Murungi has been named referee, with compatriots Immaculate Ongiera and Elizabeth Nassolo serving as assistant referees. Suavis Iratunga of Burundi will act as the fourth official.
Meanwhile, Senegal’s U20 Women’s National Team, the Lionesses de Téranga, opponents of Nigeria’s Falconets in Saturday’s first-leg third-round qualifier for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, have arrived in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
The Senegalese delegation landed in Lagos on Tuesday night before travelling by bus to Abeokuta, where they are scheduled to hold their first training session on Wednesday evening.
Ghanaian Christine Ziga will serve as match commissioner, while referee assessor duties will be handled by Berthe Minka from Gabon.
