The Abia State Government is pleased to announce that His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Executive Governor of Abia State, will commission a series of completed infrastructure and healthcare projects under the Project Ekwueme Primary Health Care Program, as part of the administration’s bold steps toward delivering on the New Abia vision.
This phase of the statewide commissioning exercise will take place between Tuesday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 11, 2025, and will feature the official opening of 14 road projects and 4 fully equipped, functional Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Abia South and Abia Central Senatorial Zones.
These projects are a reflection of Governor Otti’s unwavering commitment to transparent governance, sustainable infrastructure renewal, and improved service delivery in key sectors, especially healthcare and road transport. They form part of a larger initiative that will see the Governor inaugurate a total of 55 critical projects across the state in the weeks ahead.
Each commissioning event will commence at 12:00 noon daily, followed by community rallies at designated venues, where residents and stakeholders will celebrate these transformative milestones.
