A lady has taken to social media to narrate her heartbreaking experience after boldly asking a man out, a move that did not end as she had hoped.
In her account, she explained that she had gathered courage to express her feelings, believing the connection between them could lead to something meaningful. However, the outcome left her emotionally hurt after the man did not respond in the way she expected.
“I wore my confidence and went to his hostel. We just finished an Indian film where the guy confessed love, so I said, ‘So… us?’ The shock on his face! Then he said I’m a good person but he likes ladies with big yansh and mine wasn’t enough. I didn’t even know how I got back to my hostel,” she added.

The post, which quickly went viral on Gist platforms, triggered widespread reactions online, with many users sympathizing with her while others debated modern dating norms and the risks of making the first move in relationships.
“We’ve been friends for long. We did everything together, gist, assignments, movies. Everybody in the department already gave us a couple name. The guy had no girlfriend, so I said let me help his life,” she said.
Some commenters encouraged openness and emotional honesty in dating, while others advised caution, noting that rejection is an inevitable part of romantic pursuit.
The lady’s story has since added to ongoing conversations about vulnerability in relationships, especially among young people navigating love in the social media era.
