A fire incident has occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos State, prompting an emergency response from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The incident occurred on Sunday, with firefighters from the airport’s emergency services immediately mobilised to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other sections of the terminal.
Confirming the development in a statement posted on its official X account, FAAN said its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) had been activated and was working to bring the situation under control.
