Nottingham Forest have agreed a club-record deal worth around £50 million to sign Chelsea striker Liam Delap.
The 23-year-old is expected to complete his medical before signing a long-term contract with Forest.
If the transfer is completed, Delap will become the most expensive signing in Nottingham Forest’s history.
Liam Delap Set to Join Nottingham Forest
Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town for around £30 million last summer.
Manchester United and Everton were also interested in the striker at the time.
However, Delap struggled to make a major impact during his first season at Chelsea.
He scored just one Premier League goal in a campaign affected by shoulder and hamstring injuries.
Chelsea have now made the forward available for transfer.

Injuries limited Delap’s opportunities with Manchester City’s first team.
He therefore spent time on loan with Stoke City, Preston North End and Hull City between 2022 and 2024.
Those Championship spells gave him valuable first-team experience.
They also helped him develop his game before his permanent move away from Manchester City.
Delap Impressed at Ipswich
Manchester City sold Delap to Ipswich Town for around £20 million in 2024.
The striker enjoyed an impressive season with the newly promoted club.
He scored 12 goals in 37 Premier League appearances for Ipswich.
His performances attracted Chelsea, who signed him the following summer.
Now, Nottingham Forest are hoping he can rediscover that form.
