Sporting Lagos have announced the appointment of Jeffery Buter as their new head coach ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Buter, who previously served as assistant coach under Shola Adegun, steps up to the top job following Adegun’s departure to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Plateau United.
The newly appointed manager holds English FA and Scottish FA coaching licenses and is currently working toward his UEFA C badge, credentials that highlight his technical pedigree. His elevation is viewed as a strategic move to strengthen Sporting Lagos’ technical bench as they prepare for the new campaign.
After narrowly missing out on the playoffs last season, Sporting Lagos will be counting on Buter’s leadership to push the club toward a stronger finish this term.
