Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing 28-day project commissioning exercise as an unprecedented achievement in Nigeria’s political history.
Speaking during the commissioning of completed infrastructure projects in Abuja, Wike said no previous administration had embarked on such an extensive programme of inaugurating completed projects within such a short period.
According to the minister, the exercise reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to delivering tangible infrastructure and fulfilling the promises made to Nigerians since assuming office.
Wike praised the President for providing the political will and financial support that have enabled the execution of major infrastructure projects across the Federal Capital Territory.
He noted that the projects being commissioned cover critical sectors, including road construction, public buildings, transportation infrastructure and urban renewal, all aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of the nation’s capital.
The FCT minister also dismissed criticisms of the administration, insisting that the completed projects speak louder than political rhetoric and demonstrate the government’s determination to deliver meaningful development.
He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the administration, expressing confidence that more developmental projects would be completed across the country before the end of President Tinubu’s tenure.
The ongoing commissioning exercise forms part of activities showcasing key infrastructure projects executed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration under the current administration.
