The chairman Rivers State Teqball Association Mr Halim Adebola Zaccah has expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara on his support towards the growth of Teqball in the state
Mr Halim made the remark during the Grand Finale of the First National Teqball League (Aba 2026) held at Aba Sports Club 1926 Abia State where Team Rivers gathered a total of three medals (1 Gold (women singles) 1 Bronze (mens double) 1 Gold (mixed double)
Halim Adebola who attributed the awesome performance to the great motivation the athlete get from the association through the state government led by Governor Fubara also stated that plans will be underway to ensure that the Teqball League will come down to the oil rich state
“As you can see, you don’t joke with our players, they are well motivated and a big thanks should go to his Excellency Governor Sim Fubara who is a sports loving Governor and his support to the growth of sports”
Mr Halim further thanked the organizers of the Teqball League in Abia but also believe that Rivers State can do better under the leadership of Governor Fubara
