The Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has taken formal delivery of nomination forms for the 2027 general elections, setting its internal selection process in motion across all major elective offices.
State Chairman Elder Amah Abraham received the documents on behalf of the Abia chapter from PDP National Organising Secretary Hon. Umar Bature at Wadata Plaza, the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, in a brief but significant handover ceremony.
The forms cover aspirants for four categories of office State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and the governorship marking a broad sweep of the electoral landscape the party intends to contest.
Party officials used the occasion to reaffirm the PDP’s commitment to a transparent and credible nomination process, a pledge that carries particular weight in a state where intra-party dynamics have historically shaped electoral outcomes as much as the polls themselves.
With the handover complete, the Abia PDP has called on all prospective aspirants to proceed to the party’s state secretariat in Umuahia to obtain their forms. The directive signals that the grassroots phase of the 2027 political season in Abia State is now firmly underway.
