The Abia State Police Command has confirmed steady progress in the ongoing 2026 Physical and Credential Screening Exercise, with a total of 255 applicants successfully processed within the past week.
The exercise, which commenced on March 9, 2026, is being conducted at the Police Officers’ Mess, opposite Damgrete Hotel along Factory Road in Umuahia, and is scheduled to run through April 18, 2026.
According to an official update covering activities from April 7 to April 11 (Days 21 to 25 of the exercise), daily turnout remained consistent, reflecting sustained participation by applicants. A breakdown of the figures shows that 52 applicants were screened on Tuesday, April 7; 44 on Wednesday, April 8; 53 on Thursday, April 9; 52 on Friday, April 10; and 54 on Saturday, April 11.
The Command described the process as smooth and well-coordinated, noting that the week’s activities concluded successfully without disruptions.
Screening operations are expected to resume on Monday, April 13, 2026, as the Command continues its phased assessment of candidates.
