The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has called on residents especially women and mothers to make their health and overall wellbeing a priority, describing good health as the foundation of a productive life and “the greatest wealth.” She released the message as part of her monthly health and fitness communication to the public.

Dr. Soludo, who leads the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, encouraged a holistic approach to health that includes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual care. She emphasised that proactive self-care helps reduce lifestyle-related illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.
In her statement, she urged individuals to nourish themselves well so they can think well, move well, work well, love well, and sleep well, highlighting that overall quality of life improves when health is prioritised.
Dr. Soludo also called for practical steps toward wellbeing, including regular exercise, balanced diets, routine medical check-ups, and reducing reliance on processed foods. She specifically highlighted the importance of maternal health practices like exclusive breastfeeding and immunisation, as well as malaria prevention measures.
The advocacy aligns with past efforts under her Healthy Living campaign, including community fitness activities aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention across the state.
