Yesterday, the Executive Chairman of Ukwa East Local Government, Hon. Chibunna Akara has officially sworn in the newly appointed Ukwa East Education Secretary, supervisory councilors and the Ukwa East Economic Team.
The Chairman who gave the charge yesterday shortly after the administration of oath of office on the education secretary, Supervisors and Members of the economic team at the Council Headquarters, Akwete, appealed to them to ensure they add value to the new role given them.
“It’s importance that you all inaugurated today will put in your best in driving the local government’s vision of growth and inclusivity. He urged them to approach their roles with dedication, transparency, and accountability to the people.
The Executive Chairman went further to urge the new appointees to see their appointments as a call to service, called for deepened collaborations, synergy and strategic partnership that would accelerate the actualization of his administration’s vision for Ukwa local government.
“You all are now an integral part of this administration, and the people of Ukwa East expect nothing less than your best efforts to ensure progress in all sectors.
“Together, we must prioritize initiatives that will improve the standard of living for our people and justify the confidence reposed in you.
” You all know what our leader and mentor, His Excellency, Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti embodies as a visionary leader with unrelenting dedication and commitment to the well-being of the masses.

In their acceptance speech, the education Secretary, Mrs Ngozi Abia who spoke on behalf of the newly Sworn-in / inaugurated appointee, thanked the Executive Chairman for finding them worthy to serve and pledged their readiness to discharge their duties effectively in line with his vision for a better Ukwa East.
