Manchester United Thriving Under Amorim in Pre-Season Tour

Manchester United are showing signs of a fresh start under new manager Ruben Amorim, with back-to-back victories in the Premier League Summer Series pointing to a squad reborn in both spirit and structure.

Following a hard-fought 2-1 win against West Ham, the Red Devils delivered an emphatic 4-1 triumph over Bournemouth on Thursday morning despite being without recent signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha. What’s even more notable is that many of the players who struggled for form during last season’s turbulent campaign are now thriving within Amorim’s tactical system.

The Portuguese manager praised his side’s intensity and improved ball control after the game, hinting that his ideas are starting to take root. “It was a good game. We played with intensity. We were aggressive and that’s something we needed to improve from last season,” Amorim noted. “We had better possession compared to the last game, so they are listening.”

One of the key differences in United’s pre-season performances has been their ability to start strong. Amorim acknowledged how scoring early can shift the team’s confidence and momentum. “Of course, scoring first at the beginning of games can change the confidence of the team,” he said. “We changed some positions and you feel that they know what to do in different positions.”

It’s still early days, but United fans have reason to be optimistic. The Amorim era is beginning to take shape and so far, it’s looking like a far cry from the disjointed performances of last season. If this form continues, the Premier League may see a very different Manchester United come opening day.
