Grieving residents in Plateau State have taken to the streets to protest the killing of dozens of people in a Palm Sunday attack, calling on Governor Caleb Mutfwang to directly address their concerns.
The protesters, visibly angered by the incident, accused authorities of failing to protect lives and property, insisting that the government must do more to curb the persistent violence in the state.
During the protest, some demonstrators openly challenged the governor, urging him to “come down from your armoured vehicle” and engage with the people affected by the killings.
The outcry followed reports that gunmen attacked communities on Sunday night, leaving several residents dead and many others injured, in one of the latest incidents of violence in Plateau State.
