The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables, marking the conclusion of the nationwide recruitment exercise for 50,000 personnel.
The commission announced that the recruitment process was conducted through a comprehensive, transparent, inclusive and equitable exercise in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.
According to the PSC, candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination can now check their recruitment status by logging into the official police recruitment portal using their application details.
The commission urged all successful applicants to carefully follow the instructions provided on the portal regarding the next stage of the recruitment process, including documentation, medical screening and training requirements.
The PSC reaffirmed its commitment to merit, fairness and the federal character principle throughout the recruitment exercise, noting that the process was designed to ensure equal opportunities for qualified applicants from across the country.
It also advised successful candidates to report promptly for the next phase of the exercise and ensure they present all required documents for verification.
The recruitment of 50,000 constables forms part of the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force by increasing manpower and enhancing security across the country.
The commission expressed confidence that the newly recruited officers would contribute significantly to crime prevention, law enforcement and the protection of lives and property after completing their training.
Applicants who were not successful were encouraged to continue monitoring official channels for future recruitment opportunities and to disregard fraudulent messages or individuals demanding payment in exchange for employment into the Nigeria Police Force.
