The people of Ikwuorie autonomous community in Ohanku Ndoki and the broader Ndoki region are celebrating the restoration of electricity after nearly two decades without power supply.
The breakthrough came through the intervention of His Royal Majesty Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere, the Ihie I of Ikwuorie, who personally funded the replacement of vandalized infrastructure.

The traditional ruler spent over ₦14 million to purchase and replace stolen cables and damaged electricity poles through Aba Power, addressing the long-standing obstacle to power supply in the area.
His Royal Majesty took action after the Executive Chairman of Ukwa East Local Government Area, Hon. Chibunna Akara, approached him with concerns that the community would spend yet another Christmas in darkness without immediate intervention.

On October 22, 2025, the stolen high-tension cable supplying power to Ndoki was replaced, funded entirely by the monarch. Community leaders subsequently paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, who also serves as General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), to express their gratitude for the restoration of electricity.
In a separate gesture of philanthropy, the traditional ruler on December 26, 2025, commissioned a bungalow he had built for the oldest man in Ohanku, the late Onye nwe Ali of Ikwuorie, who was laid to rest the same day. According to sources, full payment for the construction was made before the elder’s passing, though delays by engineers meant he did not live to see the completed home.

The interventions reflect His Royal Majesty’s continued commitment to community development in the region, supported by resources from Omega Power Ministries.
