U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, urging Tehran to “get serious” in ongoing efforts to negotiate an end to the escalating Middle East conflict.

Speaking amid intensifying hostilities, Trump said time is running out for diplomacy, signaling growing frustration within Washington over what it perceives as Iran’s reluctance to fully engage in meaningful talks.

The warning comes as the United States, working through mediators including Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey, pushes for high-level negotiations based on a proposed framework to end the war. However, Iranian authorities have reportedly rejected key aspects of the proposal, deepening the diplomatic deadlock.

Trump accused Iranian negotiators of sending mixed signals publicly dismissing the deal while allegedly showing interest behind closed doors—further complicating efforts to secure a ceasefire.

Despite the tough rhetoric, there are signs of cautious diplomatic maneuvering. The U.S. recently paused certain military actions, including strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure, in what officials describe as an attempt to create space for negotiations.

At the same time, Washington has maintained military pressure, with officials warning that stronger action remains on the table if diplomacy collapses.

The conflict, now stretching into weeks, has triggered widespread regional instability, disrupted global energy markets, and drawn in multiple international actors. As both sides hold firm to their positions, hopes for a swift resolution remain uncertain.

For now, Trump’s message is clear: engage seriously in talks or face the consequences of a war that continues to escalate.
