Doro explained that the visit to Kano was aimed at directly engaging beneficiaries and confirming whether the intervention was creating measurable improvements in their daily lives. He added that the programme was built on a coordinated national poverty response system focused on long-term household stability and growth.
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children and Persons with Special Needs, Amina Sani-Abdullahi, welcomed the initiative and described it as evidence of the Federal Government’s commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
The governor also said the state government had separately empowered 5,200 women with monthly grants of N50,000 to support small businesses, while 500 families received food items and essentials during activities marking the International Day of Families.
