Aba Power has reassured customers of its dedication to addressing concerns over high electricity bills, acknowledging the financial strain caused by the current economic situation and rising inflation.
The company also attributed the increase in bills to improved power supply across its coverage area, which has led to higher consumption.
In a statement, Aba Power expressed its empathy for customers and reiterated its commitment to easing their burden. The company announced that its free mass metering program will soon commence, with over 100,000 meters expected to arrive between April and May.
Additionally, prepaid meters are currently available for purchase under the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) scheme, with swift installation guaranteed after payment.
Aba Power emphasized that the availability of prepaid meters will enable customers to better manage their electricity usage and expenses.
The company also clarified that no court ruling has been issued to halt its operations or revert to previous tariff rates. Customers are therefore encouraged to continue making timely payments to ensure uninterrupted service.

The statement was issued by the company’s Brand and Communications Manager, Edise Ekong.
