Abia councilor Hon. Chidiebere Njoku Officially Commissions New Borehole in Omuimo Community
In response to the growing demand for effective governance, accountability, and the tangible benefits of democracy at the grassroots level across Abia State’s 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs), Hon. Chidiebere Njoku, Councilor for Amaasa Ward 5, has emerged as a standout figure following the November 2, 2024, Local Government Elections.

His election has brought renewed hope to grassroots communities, aligning with developmental priorities through legislative action and community driven projects.
On Friday, Hon. Njoku marked his 100th day in office by commissioning a newly constructed borehole in Umuimo Community, Osisioma LGA a milestone celebrated by enthusiastic residents who lauded his early commitment to addressing local needs. The event, underscored his pledge to prioritize grassroots development.

The commissioning ceremony was graced by Hon. Roland Dennis Caesar the member representating Isialangwa South constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, who represented Senator Darlington Nwokocha.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Ceaser highlighted his dual role at the event both on his own capacity and as a representative of Sen. Darlington Nwokocha who was unavoidably absent

“I am here both to represent Senator Nwokocha and to stand in solidarity with my junior colleague and brother, Hon. Njoku. His achievements in just 100 days are commendable and set a benchmark for others” – Hon Cesaser said
Reflecting on his own political journey, Hon Ceaser said, “Like Hon. Njoku, I began as a councilor before ascending to the State Assembly. This His proactive approach already delivering projects at this stage proves he is a leader to watch. He is, without doubt, the most impactful councilor in this current dispensation.”

Hon. Njoku expressed gratitude for the community’s support, emphasizing his resolve to surpass campaign promises.
“This borehole is just the beginning. My focus is on sustainable development, not empty political gestures. I aim to be a leader who truly serves, addressing my constituents’ needs one project at a time,” he stated.
