Security operatives from Sectors 2 and 3 of Operation Crush, through collaborative efforts with men of the Abia state vigilante, have apprehended three individuals suspected of involvement in multiple crimes, including phone theft, tricycle snatching, and bag theft, across Aba.
According to the Commander of Operation Crush in Aba, the arrests followed intelligence-led operations and a series of coordinated patrols conducted between Thursday and Friday morning. The operation initially targeted a suspect at a known hideout, whose subsequent cooperation led to the identification and apprehension of two accomplices.
The suspects identified are:
- Monday Wisdom, 21, of Abia State, an ex-convict;
- Emmanuel Amechi, 19, also an ex-convict and reportedly employed as security personnel at Milverton, accused of supplying knives for criminal activities;
- Prince, 23, of Abia State.
Investigations further revealed that Amechi possessed a list detailing individuals implicated in prior robberies, including a recent phone theft on Tennant Road.
The suspects have since been transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit for comprehensive interrogation and potential prosecution. Authorities emphasized the operation’s success in disrupting criminal networks and pledged continued efforts to enhance public safety in the region.
