Atuma Friends International has officially been inaugurated in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, with members committing to mobilise grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration ceremony brought together party faithful, community leaders, supporters, and stakeholders who pledged to work towards the electoral success of Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, the APC’s senatorial hopeful for Abia Central Senatorial District.
Declaring the event open, Hon. Nnaemeka Darlington Ahuruonye, who performed the inauguration on behalf of Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, said the group was established to mobilise support for Atuma’s senatorial ambition and strengthen the APC’s grassroots structure across the local government area.
He described Atuma as an experienced politician with proven leadership qualities and expressed confidence in his ability to provide quality representation if elected to the Senate.
According to Ahuruonye, the primary objective of Atuma Friends International is to build a strong grassroots movement capable of delivering victory for the APC senatorial candidate and other party candidates during the 2027 elections.
Chairman of the occasion, Chief Gabriel Onyendilefu, urged members of the organisation to remain committed to the group’s objectives by returning to their various communities to intensify mobilisation efforts and expand support for the APC.
He emphasised the importance of sustained grassroots engagement as the party prepares for the next general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Chief Damian Anayo Ozurumba expressed appreciation to members for their impressive turnout and encouraged them to remain united and focused on achieving the group’s political objectives.
Also speaking, the Abia State Assistant Legal Adviser of the APC, Barrister Kelly Ahunanya, said the inauguration served as an opportunity to formally introduce Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma to party supporters across the area as the APC candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District.
She expressed optimism about Atuma’s chances in the forthcoming elections and urged members to remain active in the democratic process by participating fully in voter mobilisation and polling unit activities.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated members, Chief Mgbeahuru assured the leadership that members would justify the confidence reposed in them by working tirelessly to ensure the success of all APC candidates during the 2027 elections.
The National Coordinator of Atuma Friends International, Hon. Chief Ike Anyataonwu, also expressed confidence in Atuma’s leadership capacity, describing him as a credible and experienced politician capable of delivering quality representation.
He called on party supporters across Abia Central to remain united and vote massively for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the party would emerge victorious.
In his vote of thanks, the APC Publicity Secretary for Isiala Ngwa South, Dr. Remigus Nwazuo, thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the inauguration and prayed for the safe return of participants to their various destinations.
