Blord v Verydarkman

A Federal High Court in Abuja has remanded popular businessman and crypto entrepreneur, Blord, in Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations of impersonating social media activist Martins Vincent Otse.

Blord, whose real name is Linus Williams Ifejirika, was arraigned on multiple charges, including impersonation and forgery, stemming from a dispute with the activist widely known as VeryDarkMan.

According to court filings, the activist accused the businessman of falsely representing himself using his identity, including alleged claims of a N500 million endorsement deal and the unauthorized use of his image for promotional materials.

The court ordered that Blord be remanded for 26 days pending further proceedings, a move that means he will remain in custody through the Easter period.

The case marks the latest escalation in a high-profile dispute between both figures, which has drawn significant attention across Nigeria’s digital and business communities.

Legal analysts say the outcome could set a precedent on identity rights and digital impersonation, particularly in Nigeria’s fast-growing online and influencer economy.
