Nwachukwu, Orji, Atuma receive endorsement at Umuafai APC stakeholders’ meeting

Three All Progressives Congress candidates in Abia State, Sir Innocent Chimezie Nwachukwu, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma have received an endorsement from APC stakeholders during a political engagement in Umuafai Community.

Nwachukwu is the party’s candidate for the Umuahia East State Constituency, while Orji is seeking election to the House of Representatives for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency. Atuma is the APC candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District.

The engagement, which attracted party leaders, community representatives and supporters, formed part of the candidates’ grassroots consultations ahead of the forthcoming political season.

The chief host, Ambassador Kachi Nwoko, popularly known as P-Square, alongside other APC stakeholders, expressed support for the three candidates.

The stakeholders described Nwachukwu, Orji and Atuma as experienced and capable politicians, while highlighting what they said was their commitment to community development and inclusive representation.

The meeting also provided an avenue for residents and political stakeholders to raise issues affecting the community, including infrastructure, youth empowerment, education and the provision of basic local services.

The stakeholders urged the candidates, if elected, to give priority to addressing the identified challenges and ensure that the community benefits from government programmes and constituency representation.

Responding separately, Orji and Nwachukwu thanked the stakeholders for the confidence reposed in them.

They pledged to remain committed to the welfare and development of the people, while stressing the importance of unity, dialogue and collective participation in the political process.

The candidates also assured the community that Umuafai would remain part of their development priorities if elected.

The engagement is part of a series of grassroots consultations involving political candidates, party stakeholders and community leaders as parties prepare for the next electoral cycle.
