ABUJA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olanipekun Olukoyede, and the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqha Darma, over the management and disposal of houses seized by the anti-graft agency across Nigeria.

The meeting, held on Tuesday at the State House in Abuja, focused on ensuring that the seized properties are managed and disposed of transparently and in line with established accountability principles.

The development comes amid the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen transparency in the handling of assets recovered or seized in connection with financial crimes.

According to the report, the meeting underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring accountability in the management and disposal of seized properties nationwide.

The President’s engagement with the EFCC chairman and Housing Minister is expected to reinforce the need for proper coordination among relevant government institutions in handling the properties.

The meeting also brings the management of seized houses into focus, particularly the processes surrounding their administration and eventual disposal.
