Nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions Enyimba FC have announced the appointment of a new four-man technical crew for the club’s youth team as part of efforts to strengthen its youth development programme.

The newly constituted technical team will be headed by Onyekachi Toni, who has been named Technical Adviser. He will oversee the overall development of the youth side and implement the club’s football philosophy at the grassroots level.

Ikechukwu Obiaka has been appointed as the Head Coach, while Chidozie Johnson will serve as the Assistant Coach. Completing the technical crew is Ikechukwu Onwubuariri, who has been named the team’s Goalkeeper Trainer

The appointments form part of Enyimba’s renewed commitment to discovering and developing young talents capable of progressing into the club’s senior team and representing Nigeria at the highest level.

Club officials believe the new coaching team possesses the experience and technical expertise required to nurture the next generation of players and establish a solid pathway from the academy to the first team.

Youth development has remained a key component of Enyimba’s long-term strategy, with the club seeking to build a sustainable pipeline of talented players while maintaining its status as one of Nigeria’s most successful football clubs.

The new technical crew is expected to begin work immediately as preparations continue for upcoming youth competitions and development programmes.

Enyimba, popularly known as the People’s Elephant, hopes the appointments will further strengthen its academy structure and contribute to producing future stars for both the club and the national teams.
