Gunmen used to illustrate the story

Armed assailants have killed a family of four in Gako village, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, in another deadly attack troubling communities in the state.

The victims were identified as Pastor Ayuba Choji, his wife Chundung, and their two children, Cyril and Endurance. Residents said the family was attacked during a late-night raid on Sunday.

According to eyewitness accounts, the gunmen stormed the village around 11 p.m. and opened fire on houses, causing panic among residents. Many villagers reportedly fled into surrounding bushes to escape the assault.

A resident, Martha Dalyop, said fear and anxiety had spread through the community following the killings, with many families uncertain about returning to their homes.
