Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi-Ajagunla, representing Osun Central Senatorial District, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), adding to the growing list of high-profile exits from the party in Osun State.
His resignation follows closely after Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, representing Osun East, also quit the party, citing irreconcilable differences with its leadership.

Fadeyi-Ajagunla’s departure was confirmed through a personally signed letter dated June 12, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward 3 Chairman in Oke-Ejigbo, Ila-Orangun.
In the letter, he stated:
“I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect. Irreconcilable differences and irreparable divisions within the party — including ongoing court cases and internal conflicts over the past three years — have created deep factions at the national level.”
He added that the decision was made after extensive consultations with his political allies, family, and close associates.

“Thank you in advance for accepting my resignation,” he concluded.
