Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has challenged Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid to a celebrity boxing match following his recent victory over singer Portable in a high-profile entertainment bout.

Carter Efe made the challenge during a livestream session with music stars KCee and E-Money, where he declared that Wizkid was the next opponent he wanted to face in the boxing ring.

“The person I want to fight now is Wizkid,” Carter Efe said, adding that he also wanted Wizkid’s son, Boluwatife Balogun, to witness the proposed showdown.

The challenge comes days after Carter Efe defeated controversial singer Portable during the “Chaos in the Ring 4” celebrity boxing event held at Balmoral Hall inside the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos. Judges reportedly scored the bout unanimously in his favour, ending Portable’s unbeaten run in celebrity boxing.

Following the victory, businessman Emeka “E-Money” Okonkwo reportedly presented Carter Efe with a ₦50 million cheque promised after the fight, further increasing public attention around the event.

Carter Efe and Wizkid have had a strained relationship over the years, particularly after the streamer accused the singer of failing to support him despite releasing the hit tribute song Machala in his honour.

Despite the latest challenge, Wizkid has not publicly responded to Carter Efe’s comments or the proposed boxing match.

The growing popularity of celebrity boxing in Nigeria has continued to attract entertainers, influencers, and social media personalities, with recent bouts involving figures such as Portable, Speed Darlington, and Charles Okocha generating massive online engagement.
