By Charles Thomas
In a nation weary of empty promises, one man has turned compassion into a way of governance. His Royal Majesty, King Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, Ihie I of Ikwuorie Autonomous Community and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Port Harcourt, has redefined what it means to lead through service, not speeches.
From humble beginnings to royal ascension, Apostle Chibuzor’s story is one of relentless empathy. For over two decades, he has built not just a church of more than 400 branches, but a movement that feeds, heals, shelters, and educates thousands, all free of charge.
Through OPM’s free schools, hospitals, housing estates, and scholarships, lives once forgotten have been restored. Widows now own homes, sick strangers receive medical care, and once-hopeless youths study abroad under full sponsorship.

Crowned in 2024 as Ihie I, his kingship reflects more than spiritual authority, It’s recognition of a man who has turned faith into practical transformation. Yet, despite the crown and the international recognitions by world leaders and multinationals, he remains grounded still praying, preaching, and personally leading OPM’s humanitarian missions even on the streets.
“The church must be more than a building; it must be a refuge, the gospel must be more than words; it must be bread, books, and beds.” he often says
As his birthday on October 22nd draws near, this celebration marks not just another year of life, but a legacy of hope in action, a proof that true leadership is measured by impact, not titles.

From Port Harcourt to the world, HRM King Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere remains an Apostolic king for the people.
