Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Friday returned to Government House, Port Harcourt, to a rousing reception from Rivers residents, reaffirming his commitment to serving the people.

The governor, who was accompanied by his wife, Lady Valerie Fubara, inspected sections of the Government House before addressing journalists. He described the overwhelming welcome as both humbling and a clear demonstration of the people’s confidence in his leadership.
“I know everyone expected me to speak the moment I landed from the aircraft,” Governor Fubara said. “I was truly humbled by the reception I witnessed at the airport, and even more by the solidarity shown here. It is a reflection of love, trust, and renewed confidence in this administration.”

He assured the people of Rivers State that their support would not be taken for granted, pledging that his government would remain focused on delivering policies and projects that improve lives.
“It is not just about the celebration or the massive turnout,” he noted. “It is a reaffirmation of the bond between this government and the people we serve. By God’s grace, we will continue to do those things that endeared us to you. We deeply appreciate your love and solidarity.”

Governor Fubara’s return has been described by observers as a major morale booster for his supporters, further strengthening the message of unity between the government and the people of Rivers State.
